Internal Company Communications

Challenge

Upon joining a 20-person company, internal communication was fragmented and ineffective: long, unread weekly updates, inconsistent company-wide town halls, and poor dissemination of leadership decisions created misalignment, confusion, and low engagement.

Project duration: ~1–2 months

Solution

Redesigned the company’s internal communications framework by aligning update cadence to leadership decision-making, standardizing company-wide forums, and introducing repeatable templates to improve clarity, consistency, and engagement.

Results

  • Solved low engagement with leadership communications by replacing long-form Friday updates with a structured weekly company update, delivered to all employees after Monday leadership meetings to clearly communicate weekly priorities, decisions, and prior-week outcomes, significantly improving alignment at the start of each workweek.
  • Designed and implemented standardized templates for weekly updates and monthly company town halls, introducing consistent agendas and messaging that increased employee engagement and improved information retention across the organization.
  • Consulted with company leadership to streamline decision communication, ensuring outcomes from leadership meetings were consistently shared company-wide, reducing repeat questions and misaligned work.
  • Provided a repeatable internal communications and recognition framework as a solo owner, establishing scalable practices that reduced organizational chaos and improved transparency during a period of growth.
